Our Winery

The winery Le Ginestre is situated in Lazise, a walled town with ancient origins, only 1,5 km from the lake and 20 km from the historical and famous town of Verona.

The peasant origins of family Ruffato began in this territory with Luigi, farmer and mediator, then the son Graziano, winemaker and fruit grower, and now Marco, graduate in viticulture and oenology, who aims to develop the winery not only from a productive point of view but also in relation to wine tourism.

The Ginestre vineyards are situated on the first hills close to the lake and are trained with vertical shoot positioning, with guyot pruning system or with the traditional pergola, both simple and double.

The countryside management is careful and respects the conservative rules of territory and environment.

The territory

The lake Garda is a wonderful a place for your holidays; Walking in the hills you can appreciate a breathtaking and quiet landscape with the lake in the background.

These lands have been always cultivated with vineyards and olive trees considering that the morainic hills of lake Garda benefit from a mild climate; The light and pebbly grounds give to Bardolino wine and olive oil, unique and intense fruity flavours and fragrances.

In the about 20 hectares of the estate, autochthonous vine varieties such as Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella, Garganega and Cortese or the international ones such as Merlot or Cabernet are cultivated; our olives are Casaliva, Frantoio, Leccio and Grignano.

The country house, surrounded by the vineyards in the Bardolino zone, is situated 1,5 km from the center of Lazise, the town with medieval origins, and from lake Garda.
